Welcome to the Olney Working Men's Club website!
Working Men's Clubs are not, as some might think, places populated exclusively by old men who wear flat caps, keep whippets and pigeons and play dominoes and shove ha'penny (although there is nothing wrong with any of these traits!). A Working Men's Club is a place where the whole family can relax and enjoy a pleasant drink or an evening's entertainment in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. These days, when it seems that the majority of pubs have turned into restaurants which happen to have a bar stuck at one end, Clubs like ours are often the only place where people can enjoy a drink and a chat, play a few games of darts, pool, skittles or Cribbage with their friends and basically experience the atmosphere of a good old 'local' without having to feel guilty for not ordering a mixed grill.
